Basic Music Reading Skills

The Basic Music Reading Skills course is a ten-week music-reading course taught in one-hour sessions. It is the result of Dr. Paul Hill’s doctoral studies and is a curriculum designed to teach basic music reading skills to children through adults. His research into this field indicated what we all thought was going on: half the singers in most volunteer (e.g., church) choirs are unable to read the notes and symbols on the musical page. This course helps change that reality. School Teachers and Music Ministers, or anyone interested in this subject.

Contact Dr. Hill for more information about purchasing the curriculum.

This course is presented occasionally in our church. Watch for when it is offered and put an end to not knowing what all those notes on the page really mean!
