Adult Activities

One of the easiest ways to be involved in the life of our church family is to gather weekly with other adults for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and connection. Each Wednesday night we offer a variety of activities and small groups for our adults.

Our time together each week begins at 6pm in the Chapel for a brief time of worship and prayer. This time is led by Brandon Owen, Paul Reeves, Maria Goodwin, and BJ Greer.

After worship, adult small groups meet 6:30-7:30pm on Wednesday nights in the Main Building. The room for each group is listed below. If you have students and children, they can participate in the Wonderful Wednesday activities for children that are listed below.

Small Groups

The Vectors Group
Led by Nick Spratlen: Fellowship Hall Parlor
This co-ed class will be studying the book, Beatitudes, not Platitudes by Dr. Paul Louis Metzger. Through meditations, cultural reflections, and study questions, the book connects personal devotion with practical, contemporary faith. You can purchase a book online here.

Discovering Our Spiritual Identity
Led by Paul Reeves: Room 252 | Please contact Paul Reeves if interested.
This group, led by Paul Reeves, our Minister of Pastoral Care and Contemporary Worship, will lead us through the book Discovering Our Spiritual Identity: Practices for God's Beloved by Trevor Hudson. This study will help with simple practices that bring us into God's presence and help us experience life as his beloved.

The Last Week of Jesus Life
Led by Ann Phillips: Room 300
Women are invited to join this group each week as we go through the events of Jesus’ final week—Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, the trial, his death, and resurrection. Reflecting on them day by day deepens our understanding of who Jesus is and how he loves us. Ann Phillips will lead us each week. You do not need to purchase a book, just come ready to learn, discuss, and fellowship with one another. Bring your Bible.

Wellness Series - Physical, Mental, Spiritual
Led by David Lewis, Brittany Osborne and Nancy Swanson: Family Life Center Gym
The Wellness Group is an ongoing class open to all adults interested in caring for their overall well-being. Meetings will alternate between discussion-based sessions focused on mental and spiritual wellness and movement-based evenings that encourage physical wellness through walking on the gym track or open gym time. Participants are welcome to engage at their own pace in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Men’s Group
Led by Logan Wood and Tyler Hall: Room 251
This class will use the book Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer to explore a Rule of Life—practices and rhythms that slow us down and make space for God to transform us to become more like Him. Participants will need a book and can purchase one here.

Wonderful Wednesday
for Children

Wonderful Wednesdays are a time when our children get to explore their faith and learn how they can share God's love around the world, and how to worship God through many different art forms! Each Wednesday children ages 3 years-old* through 5th grade will participate in age-graded Children's Worship Arts classes and rotation classes. Some of the activities your child will experience are singing, drama, playing instruments, missions, Bible study, games, and lots more! For more information about Wonderful Wednesdays, click here.

*Childcare for infants through 2 year olds is provided in our nursery beginning at 5:45pm for parents attending a Bible study, seminar class, or Adult Choir practice.
