Adult Activities

One of the easiest ways to be involved in the life of our church family is to gather weekly with other adults for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and connection. Wednesday night includes a variety of activities and small groups for our adults.

After dinner in the Fellowship Hall we gather in the Chapel at 6pm for a worship gathering. This time is led by our pastors and lay leaders.

After worship, adult small groups meet 6:30-7:30pm on Wednesday nights in the Main Building. The room for each group is listed below. If you have students and children, they can participate in the Wonderful Wednesday activities for children that are listed below.

Small Groups

The Vectors Group [Co-ed]
Leader: Nick Spratlen

Location: Fellowship Hall Parlor
This class will be studying the book, Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit by Christopher J.H. Wright. This study invites people to live a life in step with the Spirit by cultivating the fruit of the Spirit in their lives. The book explores a truly Christian way to live our lives – the way of the Spirit of God given to us through Christ: “Walk by the Spirit…led by the Spirit…live by the Spirit…keep in step with the Spirit.” You can purchase a book online here.

Flourish: Growing in Faith, Mind, and Body [Co-ed]
Leader: David Lewis, Brittany Osborne and Nancy Swanson

Location: Family Life Center Gym
Fourish is an ongoing class open to all adults interested in caring for their overall well-being. During this class, our Faith will be expanded as we discuss myths about living out that faith, our Minds will be broadened with stretching and yoga, and our Bodies will be strengthened as we walk, run or play pickleball.

Prayers of the Old Testament [Women Only]
Leader: Ann Phillips

Location: Room 300
Women are invited to join this group each week to explore the prayers of the Old Testament. Discover how the prayers of the Old Testament can deepen your own prayer life through Lynne M. Baab’s Bible Study Prayers of the Old Testament to guide the study. Ann Phillips will lead us each week. You do not need to purchase a book, simply come ready to learn, discuss, and fellowship with one another. Bring your Bible.

The Greenhouse [Co-ed]
Leader: Paul Reeves (Please contact Paul Reeves if interested)

Location: Room 252
A greenhouse serves to provide optimal conditions for a plant’s growth. The Greenhouse group serves to do the exact same thing for our growth towards being more like Jesus. This group, led by Paul Reeves, our Minister of Pastoral Care and Contemporary Worship, will lead us through the book The Gift of Being Yourself by David Benner. The class will explore contemplation, slowing down, and exploring God’s still small voice through various practices, all offered with a humble open heart, we can more readily position ourselves for God’s grace and revelation. The study will help participants discover both more of who God is, and more of who we are in God. You can purchase a book online here.

Worship Choir Rehearsal
Leader: James Kimmel

Location: 2nd floor Choir Room

Our Worship Choir meets to rehearse each Wednesday from 6:30-8 pm. If you have a heart for worship, the choir would love to have you in our family of worship leaders. In addition to rehearsing music, the choir has a devotional time, shares prayer needs, and builds relationships with each other. All are welcome and no training or previous musical experience is necessary.

Wonderful Wednesday
for Children

Wonderful Wednesdays are a time when our children get to explore their faith and learn how they can share God's love around the world, and how to worship God through many different art forms! Each Wednesday children ages 3 years-old* through 5th grade will participate in age-graded Children's Worship Arts classes and rotation classes. Some of the activities your child will experience are singing, drama, playing instruments, missions, Bible study, games, and lots more! For more information about Wonderful Wednesdays, click here.

*Childcare for infants through 2 year olds is provided in our nursery beginning at 5:45pm for parents attending a Bible study, seminar class, or Adult Choir practice.
