English School  

First Baptist Marietta has been providing English School for more than 40 years. This ministry is vital to our community's immigrant population as they learn the language of their new home. In addition to language classes, we also teach citizenship classes to help students make the transition to becoming United States citizens.

Clases de Inglés Gratis 

Estas clases comenzarán el Martes 9 de Enero a las 6:00 - 8:00 de la noche y Jueves el 11 de Enero a la 9:00-11:00 de la mañana.

Nivel 2 - intermedio

Nivel 4 - avanzado

Schedule

ESL classes for the 2023-2024 year will begin on Tuesday, January 9, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 11, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

You may register Tuesday night or Thursday morning. Childcare is currently offered.

Classes begin the same day as registration.

Tuesday Nights: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Thursday Mornings: 9:00am - 11:00am

 

For Your Information

  • Classes are held in the Student Center of the Family Life Center.

  • Classes are free to the international community with $25 book fee per year.

  • Students may come to class on Tuesday, Thursday, or both days.

  • Students may enroll at any time during the school year.

  • We meet in the Student Center on the bottom level of the Family Life Center which is across from the playground on Dobbs Street.

  • The English School closes for bad weather when the Cobb County Schools close

Transportation and Parking Information

Please park in the lot at 60 Dobbs St. which is located between Church St., and Cherokee St. and across the street from our Welcome Center. You can also park in the lot off of Hansell St. which is next to Family Life Center. Enter in our Family Life Center building which is located on Dobbs Street.

  • Encourage those individuals who need help with English to visit a class

  • Pray for those who provide the instruction and for those who come to MFBC to learn

  • You can volunteer by teaching a class.

  • You can also help by assisting with hospitality.
