At First Baptist Church Marietta, worship is at the heart of who we are — and music is one of the most powerful ways we experience the presence of God together. We're looking for a gifted and dedicated pianist to help lead our congregation in worship each week through worship services, rehearsals, special events, weddings, funerals, and other events as needed. If you love using your musical gifts to serve God and want to be part of a warm, multi-generational church family in the heart of Marietta, we'd love to hear from you. 

What You'll Do

  • Play for weekly Sunday morning services and weekly Wednesday evening rehearsals.

  • Prepare a wide variety of genres of music (classical, gospel, modern, etc.) for rehearsals and services to a high degree of excellence and with stylistic integrity.  

  • Support a vision for multi-generational worship and help build bridges through music, by playing older hymns, newer hymn arrangements, and modern worship songs.

  • Be both a solo player and an ensemble player when needed.

  • Play for special services, concerts, weddings, funerals, and other church events as needed.

  • Partner with the Minister of Worship on additional projects within the Worship Ministry occasionally.

What We're Looking For

  • A growing, active walk with Jesus Christ and genuine alignment with the values and vision of First Baptist Church Marietta.

  • A high school education or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in music is preferred (or a degree in progress), though comparable experience will also be considered.

  • Prior service playing experience in multiple musical styles is preferred.
