OCOEE RAFTING TRIP

Join us as we brave the elements and the Ocoee River on a rafting trip you'll never forget. The cost is $40 and includes lunch. We only have 25 spots for students and 5 spots for leaders, so please sign up fast before Thursday, July 9th!

WHAT’S HAPPENING:

We are rafting on the middle section of the Ocoee River. It is America’s favorite stretch of whitewater with some of the wettest and wildest action around! This section is great for beginners or the experienced with over 20+ continuous class III & IV rapids in a 5-mile run. Starting just below the Ocoee Dam No. 2, we’ll encounter our first big rapid, Grumpy’s, then Broken Nose, Roller Coaster, Table Saw, Hell’s Hole and so much more!

SCHEDULE:

*NOTE: Times may change due to traffic.

6:30 AM - Arrive to Student Center & Load Up in Buses

7:00 AM SHARP (we will sadly have to leave without you if you can’t make it by then) - Head to Oconee River (869 Highway 64, Ocoee, TN)

9:00 AM - Arrive at Oconee River, Check-In, and Hang Out

10:00 AM - Rafting Time!

1:30 PM - Head Back to Buses, Eat Lunch, Then Head Back to Student Center

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM | Arrive Back to Student Center, Hang, and Head Back Home!

PACKING LIST:

What to Bring:

  • Waterproof sunscreen

  • Wear quick drying clothes (no cotton)!

  • Bring a dry change of clothes for after the trip – you will get wet!

  • A dry pair of shoes (water shoes or strapped sandals)

  • Towels and shower items

  • Extra spending money if you are interested in T-Shirts or trip photos

What to NOT Bring:

  • A bad attitude

  • Keys or anything technological you wouldn’t want to lose in the river (leave it on the bus)

  • Drugs, alcohol, etc.

What they provide on the River:

  • A human guide and all necessary equipment including paddles, helmets and life vests

  • Complimentary spray jackets in cool weather

  • Transportation to and from the river

  • Changing rooms and hot showers


Our guides will walk us through everything before we hit the water. No experience is needed, we just need to show up ready to have fun. WE CAN’T WAIT TO HANG WITH YOU!
